DEMO SUBMISSIONS

It's always great when bands decide to send us demos and promos and thanks to you all for considering Retribute Records as your possible label home. However, we thought it best to put an information page in for demo submissions to ensure that everyone knows how we go about handling demos that we receive. 1. We are happy to receive submissions in whatever forms: cd, cassette or vinyl but please do not e-mail us mp3's or ask us to check out mp3's on websites.

2. When you send in your demo (address for all submissions is below) please try and include as much detail and back-up information as possible. At the bare minimum we need the music, a biography, lyrics and a photograph, but things like reviews, live photos, lists of shows you've played and have planned etc. all help us out further. 3. Everyone seems tput this one in their submission faq's, but it is true-we listen to every single demo sent to us. If your demo blows us away, we will contact you, however, if it doesn't we won't, so please don't write follow-up e-mails asking if we liked the demo and if not why etc. etc. Most of the time these things are a gut instinct and we can't always pinpoint a reason as to why we didn't like your demo. However, please do keep submitting further demos because never say never. The first demo might not blow us away but a follow-up may do. 4. Geographical placement doesn't mean anything to us, so bands from anywhere in the world feel free to send us your stuff.

5. We're open to all sorts of different genres: Extreme metal/hardcore/industrial etc..
