In October 2002, the brutal, hyper speed, extreme metal outfit Man Must Die was formed in Scotland featuring Godplayer, Ex-Regorge, Co-Exist and Ex-Confusion Corporation members. Following their demo cd released in May 2003 MMD signed to Retribute Records and subsequently recorded a 9 song monster debut album with producer/engineer Jean Francois Dagenais of the band Kataklysm (Nuclear Blast Records), who also records for bands such as Misery Index, Malevolent Creation and Kataklysm. That recording is entitled 'Start Killing'.
With influences such as Cryptopsy, Suffocation and Kataklysm, MMD have created a relentless monster of bone crushing hatred and melodic carnage. Hyper speed blasting, tendon shredding riffage and a vocalist with a profound hatred of mankind, Man Must Die aim to be known as the most aggressive yet accessible extreme band in modern day metal.
